Dublin Digital hub

Dublin Digital hub

Two days of co-design and exploration with legrandjeu and a group of enthusiasts commoners in the hart of Dublin. Perfectly organised by John Lynch and Taja Naidoo at the Dublin Digital Hub that guested us.
Big stories from day one, that I will post here in the comments.

for masters we have a telegram group (to exchange stories) go to https://t.me/legrandjeumaster

John has published as well his own account of the experience of the workshop. He writes:

First “Le Grand Jeu” a captivating board game with elements of role playing, monopoly, democracy and much more. Together in groups, and led initially by the games master Federico Bonelli (dyne.org) we played through multiple scenarios including pressing environmental challenges, individualist capitalist economies and environmentally conscious business communities.

IUAV Venice

Le Grand Jeu has been invited to perform at IUAV in Venice, for a master class to U-Rise students. It has been a very interesting meeting. The U-Rise master focuses on Urban Regeneration, and has been quite a ride to propose to master students bottom-up

conference poster Taipei Nov. 2018

18 of November, in New Taipei Town, Fred was a guest of the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab for a day workshop- jam session- on tactics for involvement and strategies for co-design. He was traveling to Taiwan together with a good representative of the dyne.org crew.

He used and shown a mix of tactics from his experience in Trasformatorio and “Le Grand Jeu” to explicitly theme of collaboration on the level of stories and to demonstrate how to introduce a process of co-design in a situation oriented environment.

A beautiful account of the experience has been given by Ilya Li in his blog post on Nocturnal Wanderer.

A more philosophical account has been published on trasformatorio.net website and is going to be part of an article co authored by Federico and Rob van Kranenbourg.

@GANG CITY

@GANG CITY

We are happy to participate to Venice Architecture Biennale, as side event of a special program of  activities and a interesting exhibit named Gang City. Is a space curated by Fabio Armao from the Politecnico di Torino, (University of Turin) the exhibition aims to explore the phenomena of gangs from a anthropological and urbanistic eye.

In this context we are going to introduce “le Gand Jeu”, with some precise adaptations of our games geared towards the simulation of eco-social flows of values and commodities in the dystopian world of city gangs.

We hope as such to learn more on the capabilities of the game and of our own ability of using it as a research tool to comprehend the flows of ideas, grand narratives and fascinations that fellow humans have available to share while playing.

To talk about games and transition with the makers, or  if you leave in the venetian area to participate as players, feel free to contact us beforehand following the link to our email.
