Last weekend, “Le Grand Jeu” found its place within the inspiring setting of “Trame del Futuro” at Genova Blue District<\/a>, an event dedicated to weaving visions of the future through collaboration, creativity, and innovation. I was there as part of Ogigia Zena<\/a>, a wonderful new project by Raffaella Rovida, whom many of you know as the co-author of the game.<\/p>\n

Over two days, I had the chance to introduce Le Grand Jeu<\/em> to participants and students through a dedicated workshop. Together, we explored its mechanics, engaged in collective storytelling, and imagined possible futures shaped by the unique dynamics of play. Loads of energy in the room while we played a simple scenario customized for the theme of the event: textiles.<\/p>\n

Players were confronted to their new, circular and sustainable attempt of living on a island were every round a new stack of bales of used textiles would land, together with their amount of “gray” coins. Players attempt to burn, re-use, upcycle and simply deal with the textiles in all kind of ways, sometimes to conclude that the solution can only be systemic, especially when trying to “invent” a solution like a shielding cupola…<\/p>\n

Being part of Ogigia Zena in this context was particularly meaningful. The project itself resonates deeply with Le Grand Jeu<\/em>\u2019s spirit of exploration and interconnected narratives. Using the cloth of dresses that vintage shops cannot sell to make new design clothes for all.<\/p>\n

We have as well devised and demoed a scheme using NFT’s on TON network as a easy and practical way to create a digital twin of ech dress, add warranty and expand the buying concept with extra services. A good deal of our time in the show was used talking about new ways to define in the future the act of “having” a dress… Loads of feeding for our thoughts and more to come.<\/p>\n

At the show we met super interesting projects and our thanks to organizers and participants alike.<\/p>\n

Another note was that Ogigia won the award as most promising innovative project and this made us both very proud.<\/p>\n

The future is an open game\u2014let\u2019s keep playing<\/p>\n
